Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyance Officer to join their team. The Conveyance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the conveyancing process for residential property transactions, ensuring that all legal and administrative aspects are handled efficiently and accurately. This role requires a strong understanding of property law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the conveyancing process for residential property transactions, including purchases, sales, and refinances.
  • Review and analyze legal documentation, including contracts of sale, mortgage documents, and title deeds, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with solicitors, lenders, real estate agents, and clients to coordinate all aspects of the conveyancing process and address any issues or concerns.
  • Conduct property searches, such as title searches, land registry searches, and local authority searches, to identify any potential issues or restrictions.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including transfer deeds, mortgage deeds, and completion statements, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate property settlements, including scheduling settlement dates, exchanging contracts, and arranging for the transfer of funds.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of their conveyancing transactions and promptly address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of all conveyancing transactions, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a Conveyance Officer or similar role in a mortgage brokerage company or legal firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of conveyancing procedures, property law, and mortgage lending regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using conveyancing software and MS Office applications.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
